PpGDB is being developed as a part of our NSF-funded project
"PlantGDB - Plant Genome Database and Analysis Tools"
(PI: Volker Brendel).
The purpose of this resource is to provide a convenient sequence-centered genome view for Physcomitrella patens, with a
narrow focus on gene structure annotation.
Our view of the Physcomitrella patens genome is currently emerging (click here to view the latest Physcomitrella patens sequence count).
PpGDB provides a scaled view of the Physcomitrella patens gene space by continuously mapping the ESTs and PUTs onto Physcomitrella patens genomic scaffolds.
As the genome gets assembled, contig and pseudochromosome views will become available, too.
Please let us know what you like and don't like about PpGDB.
Click here to see an example display, a 40kb region of scaffold 2.

Links to other moss resources are in the left column, as are links to PpGDB Projects,
Tutorials, underlying Data & Methods, and Download options.
The Noteworthy column on the right provides links to particular topics of interest and recent projects.
